# Get a Telegram ChatID

There are two ways to enable the Scopescan bot and get the required ‘chat\_id’

a) For Individuals

i) Go to Telegram and talk to <https://t.me/WatchersAlertsBot> (@WatchersAlertsBot) and press `/start`

ii) Users can get their ‘chat\_id’ anytime by typing `/start` (again) or just `/chat_id`

iii) Copy this number and paste it into the Telegram ChatID field.

b) For Groups

i) It is possible to invite the bot ( @WatchersAlertsBot) to groups with multiple people

ii) Once the bot is inside the group, just follow the steps above to get the ‘chat\_id’

iii) Submit the ‘chat\_id’ to our website
